Oct 23, 2023 · The Vortex extension for Valheim has now been updated to version 1.1.0 and contains fixes necessary for mod management to work again for latest version of the game. It's going live now but might take up to an hour to show as Extension Update available. You might need to restart Vortex for this notification to show.

Vortex will continue to install the revision you started downloading, however, if you click "Update" in the "Added Collections" view it will update the newest revision and download those files. Any mods from the old version that still exist in the new one will not need to be reinstalled.It will allow me to install simple mods without a FOMOD, but any FOMOD also hang. I just wanted to see if I can reinstall Vortex and maybe "fix" any corrupted files, etc, without it removing all of my mods. Uppon clicking on the "open in file manager" i saw there are no esp , esm or any other files inside the folders. 100+ mods had only the folders but nothing inside. Now im busy with installing everything back. This is very puzzling, and I have absolutely no idea why all of your mods disappeared from the file manager.

Automatic updates are a bad idea, due to how mod pages are set up, and the fact that some modders put their updates in a lower section on the page, so Vortex gives you the option to go to the mod page and choose which update you actually need.
