I have been shaving DE for only about 4 months. It took a while for me to get used to it. I think the most helpful WickedEdge suggestions were: 1. Shave gently- no need to press down hard when shaving 2. It takes a few passes for a clean shave 3. Make sure you do a good job lathering up- good face prep 4. Soak the brush in a container of soapy warm water for 5 - 10 minutes. Rinse the brush well and squeeze out as much suds as possible. Mix a solution of about 1 part white vinegar to 4 parts of fresh warm water (not the same soapy water you just used). Soak the brush for another 5-10 minutes in the vinegar solution. Freesia, magnolia, cedar, mango, and Yuzu are the ones I notice the most. Noble Otter - Hamami: this is a very polarizing scent, but I absolutely love it. Gillette Nacet ( amazing for me ), Gillette Platinum, Gillette Silver Blue, Feather. You should try more though, I know when people say this, it’s a bit disappointing because you wish you could find the best blade asap but unfortunately there isn’t really a shortcut.

I was thinking a sample pack of soap. Then I was going to get a brush and an alum bar maybe. I don’t really know what else I need tbh. Try washing your beard at the sink following your shower, using a high-glycerin soap, and rinsing partially with a splash. The immediately apply lather to your (washed, wet) beard. Do that a week, skip it a week, do it another week to see whether it helps.
