You really are convincing me to use regular runes on my tricaru lol. I got couple of decent determination runes after having farmed for them but i need the extra push for my second and third icaru. I haven't seen a single flat defense gem for determination rune to help

Either give him 5k more hp and 200 def or 50% more cd . if your verde damage too low the dragon and crystal move and you need to sustain through his attack and take him down before he gets a second turn .

Guard runes are by far the easiest method to get the stats. There is an argument for using 1 Det set per dog as slot1 doesn’t have any real reqs, so you only need 1 more per dog.If you can, keep def% 5* runes. If you go 9x determination there is room for multiple 5* runes per unit. I'm down to 4 sets and still use a 5* slot 4 rune on one of my dogs
