Personally I would just recommend keeping the patch and using the console to grab the stuff you are trying to use a glitch to get, since using a glitch to get free stuff out of a chest is just doing player.additem with more steps. But to each their own. 1. true.
In all seriousness Bethesda did not patch this out. At least in oldrim. There was a day where I tried to find it back on 360, looked in the exact spot it was supposed to be, and couldn't find it.
