Glock 30 vs glock 30sf.

Since I'm happy with the fit in my hand, I was just wondering if there was any reason why I should consider a 30, 4th gen over the 30SF. As far as the extras go, the backstraps will only make the grip bigger, I'll save enough money to buy a third magazine, and I don't need a mag loader. Thanks!

It is a little confusing, but G30SF is "the slide of G36 on the frame of G30". It came first, but it was popular enough that Glock put it on a radical diet. As for being easier to carry than a 30, the difference in my opinion, is marginal. The 30S is just a 30SF with a 36 slide. The 36 slide isn't that much thinner than the 30 slide. The 10 round magazine for the 30S has a pinky extension that really makes the magwell length difference between the 2 pistols nonexistent.The quick and dirty is that the 30SF is a full sized 30 slide on the Short Frame (SF). The SF frame reduces the distance between the front & back straps to allow for more trigger reach on the G30. The 30S is a G36 slide mounted on the SF frame.
