Feb 11, 2018 · Hello CC Community! After a very strenuous college search, I was sure that Tulane University was my top choice, but after sadly being waitlisted. I began to look at other colleges paticularly LAC’s with a strong writing program. Nevertheless, I discovered Kenyon and decided to apply. I figured I wouldn’t get in because my stats weren’t necessarily as strong as the other applicants ... <p>i agree w/ mol about the number of contacts. i joined the mailing list a while back, visited the kenyon table at a college fair and filled out a card, visited the campus and had an interview, attended some college info session when my rep came to my school, and then visited again for the trustee scholarship program when i was invited.</p>is everyone bringing a car with em to ol kenyon… College Confidential Forums cars... The village is about as safe as any college campus, and likely safer than the campuses of most large colleges.Limited bandwidth with subsequent loss of ability for online gaming, peer to peer apps, etc. (I think this is a good thing, even for college students - my daughter had to pay the RIAA $2500 for Limewire usage when she was in college). Macalester students lean far left, while Kenyon is closer to the middle. St. Paul versus Gambier is a very important distinction. P.S. Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington may be of interest to you. Whitman is smaller than Kenyon College with just about 1,450 students but is more liberal and has strong programs in biology, economics, and environmental science. Lots of outdoor activities including white-water rafting, hiking, biking, etc.
