My current place is just 4 training shifts, no tips. I was a bit salty when I bartended, did equal work, was not actually being trained because I knew what I was doing already, and didn’t even get a courtesy tip out after our bar made over $700 in tips for the shift. It was just me and one other bartender.The pandemic has definitely made me get a little more satisfaction out of my job by being able to tell people no about certain things. So about $23/hour net total comp. My schedule looks like this a fair number of weeks: Monday 5-10:30, Tuesday and Wednesday 12-3 and 5-9:30, Thursday 5-10:30, Friday 11:30-3 and 5-10 Saturday 4-10 Sunday 4-9. I get a paycheck for like $1700 every other week from the weekday job and like $200 in cash tips once per week.

Similar situation as you, married and early 30s whereas most of my coworkers are early to mid 20s. I'd say I even have a bit of social anxiety and am definitely on the quieter side around people I don't know.My manager said our bartenders will get a write up if clocked out employees come in on their day off and sit at the bar for drinks?
