You will see a notification on steam, and when you open your steam inventory it will show what you got (a few examples of games that also do this would be csgo and tf2, but I know the drop rates for those, just not for rust). I've made sure my accounts were linked, I even unlinked and relinked my accounts just to make sure and they are not appearing.
