Ninjatrader and Tradovate are two complete different systems. Let me explain NInjatrader is a locally runned program. Meaning it runs on your computer, where as tradovate is a web based application so it runs on the web. The one thing that ninjatrader has over tradovate is that it allows you to pretty much connect to any broker of your choice.

I've tried amp and ninjatrader trials, but I think amp and Sierra combo is the best. Ninjatrader takes a while to start up and load charts, versus Sierra which takes a few seconds only. Oh nice! A fellow EdgeProX user. It is a great package for day trading and live the Rithmic feed for the cost. I don't need the complexity of Sierra nor the extremely limited capabilities of Jigsaw and Tradovate. For the money and quality, EPX and Rithmic are great.
