The PCM sends a signal (at startup) to tell the Trans Relay to close, which then feeds 12V power to the trans. So if you use a 2011+ solenoid (or trans) in a 2007-2010 truck, you will blow continual P0760 (OD Solenoid Circuit) faults, since in the newer solenoid module there IS NO OD SOLENOID. So that would be my first suspicion. The 2011+ solenoid module has a GRAY wiring connector. The 2007-2010 style solenoid has a WHITE wiring connector.
