A dead battery will make it so you cannot remove key. As for why battery is dead.... Could be something left on or the battery's life may be over. Have battery charged and load tested if possible. Or charge and try it if load test not available. Purchase new battery if tests bad. Consider the new style AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) type battery.

When they change out the relay for a 2 shot relay, the problem is fixed. The relay is bad, nothing is done with the remote. I kept being told that the car is operating as designed when the trunk was opening ...
