I've been playing "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" (TotK) on both my PC and Steam Deck. The game runs smoothly on my PC, but on the Steam Deck, I'm experiencing a locked framerate of 20fps. However, when I unlock the framerate, I can achieve a more consistent 30-35fps, which is more playable for me. Gyros are possible using Cemu on Deck. More difficult if you want to use an external controller, but still doable. For Deck gyros, install SteamDeckGyroDSU from GitHub. For external, make sure you use the Linux native (appimage) version, launch it in desktop while Steam is not running to configure the controller, then in game mode make sure to ... Same issue as you, Found the fix. I had to open yuzu in steam desktop, then open speaker on the desktop bottom right menu. click applications and Yuzu is muted by default. I unchecked mute and booted back into steam deck game OS. Audio works now.
Yes the wiiu emulator is much more mature and has more graphical options. With a good pc you could play BotW in 4k. Wii U easier to run. My quick take: yes CEMU is more mature but it also happens to just run better on the deck compared to YUZU. Maybe YUZU developments will close the gap but who knows.

So, it is very hard to make a perfect emulator. So, even with the best Computer Hadrware, there are possibilities, that some Switch games will lag. Yuzu has a known issue on the Deck with BOTW meaning it only runs at average 15 fps outside of the cutscenes. As others have said, you should use the Wii U version, as its a lot better, if you turn smt off via power tools and set the manual gpu clock to 1100 you can get close to 40fps on it. 0. Reply.
