The most important thing with gunslingers is to include a Chanter in your group (Kana works fine) for Sure-Handed + Mith Fyr -chants. Without them your attack speed is painfully slow and Pierce immune mobs are real pain in the butt.

I tried to build a character based around passive heals with active support abilities and this multi-class combination is just perfect for this sort of playstyle! This character also serves as an off-tank since they are able to wear heavy armor and a shield as most of the healing is done passively. There is two more paladin subclasses other than bleak walkers which is working very well in a sniper build. FoD working as ranged too and can heal when used. You can mark all mobs with sworn rival for more damage (and defense) and will regain regain all of your zeals then mobs dies. Almost all paladin traits and abililies allows a ranged build.
