Lml duramax crank no start.

It's happened to me twice now seems like after a long trip I'll shut vehicle off for a while n when I go to crank it back up it runs for 10 seconds or so n then dies n won't start back up. Ill prime the filter for a sec n then it'll crank up n it's fine! 04 GMC 2500HD lly. Found that all 3 wires on the connector had the insulator cracked, ordered new connector and replaced. Still no fire, no codes. Checked the wires between the connector and the black connector above the drives side head ...Bought truck about 2 months ago, it was blown, needed new rods and bearings. crank as well. Verified that it had power and checked the mileage, was never able to fully turn it over. So...here I am, engine rebuilt, dropped, mounted, gets power. no crank no start. checked grounding wires, and starter, put power to batteries. nothing.

I rebuilt the primer on the fuel filter housing and replace the bleed screw on the filter housing. That fixed my problem. Someone makes a billet bleed screw.This switch is located in the suction side of the fuel system and it may induce a crank no start, hard start, or an extended crank. Note: The Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans utilize a Fuel Conditioning Module with an electric priming pump. The filter minder switch will have to be inspected with the electric prime pump running. When it sits for about 1hr then i have to use starting fluid again. Theres lots of cranking power, brand new glow plugs, new fuel filter.

If no signal to the BCM, check the pink wire on connector X1 at the BCM, pin 2, and the white wire connector X1 at the BCM pin 4. With the key in start position, both of these should have voltage. After tear down, noticed stress cracks around the bowls of the pistons (no surprise there). Customer opted to tear down further for an engine rebuild with some upgraded parts to eliminate weak points. One of those upgrades being a Callies Durastar crankshaft. Fast forward 2 months and 30,000 miles, we now have an engine that has lost its thrust.The first thing you need to verify on a no-start condition is fuel pressure, so hook up a scan tool and check for any DTC codes. There are a few that might pop up, including a P0087 which indicates low fuel rail pressure. If there are no DTC codes currently set, log Fuel Rail Pressure with the scan tool while you crank the engine over.

Put the other end into the container and run the engine to fill that line. Then shut it off and remove the IGN 1 relay from beside the starter relay. empty out the container and keep the line full.
