I am going to guess he had 2 tickets one from India to Schengen area and then another from Schengen area to the USA. If this is the case the airline providing the flight leaving India was correct in denying boarding for the missing Schengen visa as the flight to USA was with a different airline and no longer a connection but 2 separate flights.

froggyEngland, not with Justfly.com. If you cancel with them for any reason within 24 hours you will be charged $75 dollars. If you google and read the complaints, alot of people are having issues with Justfly.com and their cancellation policy. Bottom line, I wished I had've googled and read reviews, I wouldn't be on this forum today.

Third party vendor, sure, but I figured it's ok as long as we stick to the plan and don't try to change anything or ask for a refund or whatever. I even entered our e-ticket numbers into the United system right away after receiving the confirmation, just to make sure.
