The HK45C was one of my first off roster purchases and was my bedside gun until the VP9! Yes true but definitely expensive…to the point that I'd rather just get the USP. My USPc9 may be old fashioned by today's standards, but it is beautifully engineered, ergonomic, and incredibly reliable.The HK45 Compact is well-suited for personal defense use, and it has a DA/SA trigger system with a safety/decocking lever on the left side. The HK45C features a "slim-line" grip, shorter barrel and slide than the standard HK45, but it is otherwise functionally identical to the standard HK45.

I have owned the full size HK 45 for about a year and really like it, it's just a bit large for carry. The HK 45 CT is very similar in size to the Glock 19. The elephant foot mags are a bit bulky but they actually feel good when shooting. Recoil is very nice for it's size. I have had many of the other compact 45's on the market.

I'm 5'8", 175 lbs. with a 32" waist and have had no problem carrying an HK45C in a Sparks VM-2 all day, every day. It's probably as large and as heavy a gun as I would want to carry IWB but it's definitely not burdensome.Still wider than Glock, M&P or XD, but narrower than the old USP. Overall height is actually short but bore-axis is high. I usually carry my 1911 Commander but I've carried my HK45C for weeks at times. The difference is noticable but it is not that big an issue.
