The lake in the bottom-left part of the map usually has some for me. I found a bunch at the lakes in cheelah during their drink times. that big lake in the north of the map has a couple drink zones for elk for me, bagged some Level 4s with nice racks earlier today up there. I can't ever find the elk drink zones on Layton.
I've run around a lot on Layton Lake, and for moose and elk, just in general actually, the very best hunting spot I have found so far, is calburn river. I got my diamond whitetail the other day near the first lookout you unlock, look towards the track and they had a feeding spot, I also got an albino in the same spot. try the lakes on the east side of the map lots of elk and blacktail there. also make sure you’re hunting during the drink time which is 5-9:30 for both of them.
