Kill adam smasher or not.
In the lore, Adam Smasher is a nearly unkillable death machine (in the stories in Cyberpunk RED anyway) where he is only stopped by a nuke going off while fighting Morgan Blackhand (who is suspected to have lived this encounter). So Blackhand couldn't kill him, and a nuke couldn't kill him. So he is definitely underpowered in CP2077.
Killing Adam Smasher (realistically) Alright let’s talk realistically. What would you need to legitimately kill him (I’m aware of the head and weak spot but realistically speaking in terms of his armor and strength). My katana can kill him easily but realistically the bade would brake due to his armor. Don’t get me started on the dildo.I already dislike Adam Smasher in-game, but after watching Edgerunners, got me thinking, I hope that in the next DLCs or the next expansion next year we'll get a more brutal way to kill Adam Smasher. Keep eliminating enemies to shorten its cooldown so you can use it again once it ends. It's t's a beast. I used it a couple of nights back to beat Smasher after getting zeroed a few times while using other weapons like the Testera, which is usually a one-shot-kill machine. Take a Nekomata/Breakthrough or Rasetsu for sniping the enemies on the upper balconies when Smasher takes a breather.
How do you not kill Adam Smasher? Truthfully I have never had an issue, even on very hard. If you are melee, use Sandevistan. If you don't have sandevistan run away and get health back then do it again. He's a sponge no matter what but just stay calm and keep plugging away and he's cake. Reply reply. GermanicSarcasm.
Frank Horrigan would wipe the floor with Adam Smasher. Frank Horrigan was only able to be defeated by the player because the player had to be able to actually beat the game. He's a twelve foot tall behemoth. He's ripped Deathclaws in half and can kill them with a single punch.

Smasher's in charge of taking out Arasaka's dirty laundry, but he likes to do thins his own way. Way back in 2023, he killed Johnny Silverhand during the attack on Arasaka Tower, after which Silverhand's personality was digitized by the Soulkiller program. If Smasher finds out that Johnny's back, he'll probably want to finish what he started.
