This is what I have discovered thus far: 1) The spark plug will not produce a spark. 2) The starter relay does switch over. 3) The black and white wire running to the ignition coil does not produce any voltage (checked with the multi-meter). 4) The same wire does point-to-point from the starter relay to the ignition coil.

Left about 1/4 inch on the bolt, probably 1/4 inch plus left in there. My neighbor walked by great guy, 77 had bikes and is sharp as a tack.KFX 90 starter issues. When you push the button to start it, sometimes to turn over & other times it will sound like the starter just spins. I have taken the starter out & tested it & it does spin when hooked up to a battery. I also pulled out the starter gear that the starter spins. Both gears look ok, a little worn but ok.
