Jul 8, 2019 · The pumper on the 4S Lectron (and the FCR) has nothing to do with the needle jet emulsion tube or needle. The Lectron carb (and SmartCarb) use a single needle that covers the standard pilot, needle and main jet circuits. The slight advantage of a single circuit carb like the Lectron is the tendency to transition smoother off of the pilot circuit. Compared to the Lectron and the FCR the smart carb is similar price. I am not so much looking for huge performance gains by burning more gas. Smart carb is also for 4 strokes. I am thinking of just doing a JD Jet kit on the 36mm mikuni carb and seeing how it runs. Then eventually getting the Smart Carb.News.
