I have a 15" right now that won't run at all even with a .120 gas port.The magazine in the middle has a parkerized finish and the follower is dark blued. Based upon the characteristics and finish of the middle magazine, I do not believe it was refinished (I could be wrong). The parked finish reminds me of a STG-58 or Izzy magazine than has seen some service use (but not abused).

DSA sells very nice 922 L1A1 cocking handles. DSA carriers and bolts are around and interchange with L1A1 parts also. "C" marked HTS parts are US made but generally crappy, other companies made nicer HTS sets that are around but expensive. I've used Century ("C" marked) HTS in several FALs with zero issues.

THERE IS NO ONE BEST SCOPE FOR ANY FAL. We can make our best choices, but there really is a big choice, and one that will have many answers. If you want to shoot paper, or if you want to shoot military targets will make a great variance. A 36X is best for shooting paper (to some) and a strait 4x is best for 6' targets to others.Simply coat the the outside of the adapter with non permanent Locktite™, place a fired 7.62x39 case inside the chamber and close the bolt. After 10-12 hours, eject the 7.62x39 case and you are ready to start shooting. Inexpensive Russian ammo costs 25-50% less than any regular 308 or 30-06.Build is coming along. I will post some pics soon. New Barrels will have to reuse Original Barrel extension, due the extension being proprietary and is actually longer than an AR15 Barrel extension.
