Started Breath of the Wild on my PC. The game runs normally. Copied the files from my PC to my Steam Deck. Opened Yuzu on my Steam Deck and installed the update file and both DLC files again. Started Breath of the Wild on the Steam Deck. Expected behavior: game loads and runs normally. Actual behavior: game stays on "Launching..." screen forever.
Steam deck has taken away a lot of the uses for my hacked Switch. But it still has some uses. Most switch exclusives won't emulate well on yuzu yet. And there is no substitute for Splatoon 3 and Mario Maker 2 online outside of an actual Switch.I'll keep making these till you get bored or until Nintendo gets me. If you're running version 2.0 and newer you can use mouse to get around it, because cemu can't see the gyro from the steam controller and cemuhook isn't supported anymore. for BOTW Cemu is still best. thanks ill check it out. Yuzu has an early access version that supposedly has amazingly improved performance, making the Switch version of BotW actually playable on the Deck. I haven't tried it personally, but my news feed has been blowing up with it the past week or so. I've seen in some reviews and posts cemu BotW running at a solid 60fps on the Ally. The Ally runs about 10-20% faster than the steam deck depending on the game at 15watts(steam deck max I think) and the Ally can go up to 25watts hand held and 30 plugged in.
