Crossbows work well en masse so I'd say 60 Bannerknights and 80 Crossbowmen each split into two groups. If you want infantry go for Imperial Legionaries of Sturgian Spearmen.

This allows for multiple strategies. My typical one is to let my Nords sit five paces in front of my Rhodoks, who are five in front of my Swadians. Mameluke tier has some great skirmishers. Master archers are decent. Palace guards are hard to train but they are versatile. Not the best troop tree but nice and reliable backups. Javelins are very good in Bannerlord and most of your infantry get them. They melt opposition as long as they don't have a shield. Crossbows are great, handgunners are better but you need to deploy properly for line of sight. My mid game army composition was something like. Any battle with less than 200 opponents ends with at most 10 casualties for me, but when I get into a big battle (600v600) in an army they get decimated (usually 20-40 deaths + 20-40 casualties).Fians are best, but any will do. I think a full Fian army would win due to the heavy archer fire then the 2 handed after, but the AI will never run this.
