We tried changing the tether distance from 1 to 3 on Xbox and it did not change. We were still only allowed to be about 180ish meters apart. You used to be able to put 99 on the original game and basically be on the opposite side of the map but ye it doesn't appear to do anything on Asa. It used to be located in the rules tab in game rules before but now it's gone.
Damn I thought I heard somewhere that they got rid of the tether. That's lame. There wasn't any thether distance on evolved just ~2000m from the host as soon there were 3+ players in the server. There's a setting for it under Game Rules->Rules. Slider goes up to 3, but allows you to type a higher number in.

It runs flawlessly at 54fps on medium (light bloom off). That $200 card runs better than my 4080. If you have an old Radeon card, check it out. my 6600 ran at like 40 fps on low with fog and clouds disabled. I upgraded to a 7700 XT that can get around 75 on medium, but it crashes a lot more often than the 6600 did. #10.
