One ride told me I didn't want one due to the suspension. It rode like the old Honda 350 4x4 with the solid front axle.

I have a 2001 Prairie 400 that has some kind of an electrical problem. I put in a new battery and when I turn it on I don't get any indication that there is any life in the ATV. Yes, I have it in neutral and the key is in the on position and the run switch is on.

It's probably the spring loaded gear selector fork under the shifter assy behind the rear head. it's VERY easy for one side of that spring mechanism to fall off when assembling. this way you don't get a full throw when putting it in gear with the hand shifter. Without these three requirements, the engine won’t start and continue to run. A Kawasaki engine won’t start due to a bad spark plug, clogged fuel line, clogged air filter, bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, dirty carburetor, bad starter solenoid, faulty switch, or wrong choke setting. alright, so ive got a 1999 Kawasaki Prairie 400 4x4. I bought the quad about a week ago, everything worked great other than the fact it had no rear brakes. I went to go out and play in the mud a bit this weekend, and fell thru some ice into a swamp, just over the bottom of the running boards, the quad continued running and never died.

Feb 6, 2009 · On mine it is green. Get a multimeter, set it to test continuity, and ground one probe. Put the other one on the neutral wire, and when the machine is in neutral it should have continuity with the engine block. If it doesn't the switch is stuck open.
