There are certainly different types of guilds. There are those that takes a team of people to build, and run, and maintain. Personally, I'm not talking about that type of guild. I haven't ever, nor will ever, be in charge of that type of guild. The guilds I make are ones I make for myself and a few RL friends.

They should have a button for adding players to your guild (invite). Once they are in the guild, your GM should be able to promote his alts to whatever rank he wants, except GM. Go to topic listing. You can always create a F2P account and invite a character from that account to your guild and then have that character invite your alts. Although, you will need 2 PCs to do this. You have to purchase one at the time, and purchasing 999 means I have to click 1998 times with my mouse, which is rather time consuming and boring.

IIRC, guild XP is 200% of Conquest points, so for every Conquest point you earn you get two guild XP. If your guild is less than a week old then you will have to wait before you can start earning guild XP.
