What really stood out, was the weight. While not quite as crisp as the VP9, the APX trigger was noticeably lighter. I knew the APX was a good gun, I just expected it to be noticeably less good than the VP9. Turns out not to be the case at all. For my money, and my opinion, Beretta APX is absolutely on par with HK VP9. Beretta doesn't make crap.
Today, the HK VP9 competes with other handguns such as the CZ P10C, Glock 19, and the Walther PPQ. The HK VP9 has the following upgrades, a threaded barrel, Hienie High profile night sights and a Lobos trigger/spring upgrade and full polish job, Ammo used today was Winchester White box and some reloads. All shooting was done at 20 yards.
There are 3 gens for the CZ P-10 Gen 1, Gen 2 and what I call Gen 1.5. If recomend a hammer like a p-01 if you want a little bit more weight, but the P-07s have better grips that aren’t so bad. Interesting, personally I find the Glock grip design to be superior to anything CZ has ever made and I have had CZ's (75, P-01, P-07, P-09, P-10C, and P-10F) for far longer than my Glocks. The Glock grip makes both indexing out of the holster and recoil control extremely easy and repeatable compared to the "ergonomic" feeling CZs.
HK VP9 vs Glock 19 Quality. The HK VP9 definitely seems to be a higher-quality pistol than the Glock 19. In my opinion, it is probably 10-percent higher in quality than the Glock 19 just from feel alone. Again, this is all opinion and there might not be an actual quality difference. It does seem and feel to be a high-quality handgun comparatively.
