The reserve is .87 gallons. That leaves 2.83 gallons available before you have to hit the reserve. (for me anyway) I would guess that you could pretty safely run 30 miles after hitting reserve in whichever season. I hit reserve around 125-135 in the winter and 150-160 in the summer.
